This new version of the play has been written by co-writers Ric Brady and Stephen M Hornby.

Ric Brady, co-writer said: "The play has had a fantastic response, with people coming out of the theatre afterwards to call their brothers or sisters and tell them how much they mean to them. It’s a definitely a play that makes you appreciate your family.”

Stephen M Hornby, co-writer said: “Although the play is a big, gutsy family drama, it’s got some great comedy in too and people have loved the balance in this new version of the play.”

‘The Box of Tricks’ tour has received excellent audience feedback and reviews. Now Then Manchester Stage Reviewer, Kate Morris, said:

“The collective efforts between directors and actors have paid off in creating roles that are authentic and serious,” and; “The Box of Tricks is a witty piece of work with a natural flow and a brilliant ability to make you forget how annoying siblings can be.”

George Costigan, who has appeared in the 2015 BAFTA award-winning ‘Happy Valley’, gave Pagelight his opinion of the play:

“This is a misleading title to a play that is, gloriously, anything but. An honest, searching and touching piece about the joy and pain of loving your brother. Even when you find out...

“The writing is blessed with three pitch-perfect performances in a production as sharp as a tack. Enjoy.”

‘The Box of Tricks’ comes to The King’s Arms on 27th and 28th November, 2015. Tickets are now available on their website:
