Tour Manager Required


Pagelight Productions are looking for an experienced Tour Manager based in the North West or Yorkshire.

Our northern area tour of 'The Box of Tricks', which premiered at Manchester's 24:7 Theatre Festival, starts in September 2015. The tour will be supported by the Arts Council England.

The play is a family drama based in West Yorkshire, and follows Mike as he reluctantly resolves a fraternal feud after his brother’s death. This is a new version of the play that focusses on the relationships between the two brothers, Mark and Sam, and their Aunt.

We're looking for an experienced Tour Manager to help us make the tour a success.

Our ideal candidate would:

- have experience of touring a similar Theatre tour in the North West and Yorkshire

- have broad experience of stage managing for theatre

- have a driving licence and be comfortable driving a transit van

- be an excellent communicator

- be able to remain calm under stress and find solutions to problems

- work well within teams and always respect others

- be able to carry scenery and take on technician duties when required.

Pagelight recently produced 'A Very Victorian Scandal' in Manchester, as part of the First National Festival of LGBT History. Russell T Davis and Cyril Nri were the patrons of 'A Very Victorian Scandal', which told the story of a police raid on an all-male fancy dress ball in Victorian Manchester.

Dates: 10 dates throughout September, October and November (TBC) This is a paid position.
