'A Very Victorian Scandal: A Magistrate's Tale' on 24th June.

Portrait of Mr C. H. Rickards by Mr G. F. Watts.

Tune in to Pagelight Productions' Radio Theatre Live production; performed exclusively for the Victoria Park Festival at St. Chrysostom's Church, Manchester.

Joel Parry; John Smeathers; Mark Roberts; Gareth George and Daniel Wallace are returning for this new story, based on Pagelight's 'A Very Victorian Scandal'. Howard Totty also features in the radio play, which is being directed by Alan Beck.

Follow Manchester's most famous Victorian policeman Detective Caminada, and real-life magistrate Mr C. H. Rickards (pictured), as they struggle to ensure justice prevails in a case that scandalised Manchester in 1880: the Hulme Fancy Dress Ball.

This Radio Theatre Live experience is not being transmitted over the airwaves. It’s a one-night-only event: taking place at St. Chrysostom’s Church on Wednesday 24th June. Turn off your wireless and come to St. Chrysostom’s for 7:30pm.
